About Us
Bella Learning is a family business. Set up in 2018, we have been tutoring and running workshops in the local area for the last five years. With over 30 years’ teaching experience between them, Annabel and Gary wanted to be able to offer famiilies access to qualified teachers outside of the classroom. Both highly passionate and motivated educators, their ethos is child and well-being led, whilst also cultivating the highest outcomes for their students.
Annabel and Gary are married and live in Chislehurst. They are proud parents of Ella and Max.

Annabel
BA Hons, PGCE, QTS, University of Greenwich
Annabel is a qualified and experienced primary teacher who has worked in both inner London and local Chislehurst schools for the last 17 years. In schools, Annabel has been an assistant headteacher, phase and curriculum leader and at home she writes educational materials for publishers like Collins and Pearson. Annabel loves teaching all areas of the curriculum but has a particular flair for English and Verbal Reasoning. In her spare time you might find her singing, doing yoga or at the theatre.
Gary
BA Hons, PGCE, MA in Education, University of Durham
Gary has been teaching for 17 years in a range of schools. Starting his career in Durham, he has spent recent years in London, working as Head of Department and Head of Year in Secondary Schools. He is pedagogy-driven and has a proven record of increasing students’ grades. Outside of the classroom he has worked for GCSE examination boards and is a qualified moderator. In his spare time he loves sport and exercise. He is looking forward to using his wealth of experience with Bella Learning, particularly in Maths and Non-Verbal Reasoning which he loves!
